Hypertherm has raised the bar again by doubling the warranty on the popular Powermax plasma cutters from 3 years to 6 years. The extension speaks volumes about the company's confidence in the durability and performance of its equipment.
- 6 Year Warranty on Power Supply: The Powermax system's main power unit is now covered for six years against defects in materials and workmanship. (Or 500,000 starts, whichever comes first)

3 Year Warranty on Torch and Leads: The torches and lead assemblies that come with the unit remain under a three year warranty, offering solid coverage for these high use components. Outside of that 3 year time from reach out and we stock and have on sale the most popular torches. *Also 3 years on the air compressor for the Powermax30 AIR model.
- Applies to 2025 and Future Purchases: This new warranty applies to Powermax systems purchased on or after January 1st 2025.
- No Extra Cost: The extended warranty comes standard - no additional registration or fees.
- There are no changes to the warranty periods for torches, cartridges, consumables, or repair kits.
How to File a Hypertherm Warranty Claim
- Start by confirming when you purchased the unit to ensure under warranty. If you are unsure call or email your distributor where you purchased the unit.
- Gather Info: Model Number, Serial Number (Usually found on rating plate), Proof of Purchase (invoice or receipt) and Detailed description of the issue
- Visit an Authorized Service Center: Find a local service center and call them to confirm drop off location. *ALL AUTHORIZED HYPERTHERM SERVICE CENTERS can work on your equipment regardless if you purchased from them.
- Warranty Claim Submitted: The service center can file the claim on your behalf with Hypertherm and repair the unit
- Repair: Hypertherm will approve and cover replacement parts and warranty assuming the issue is something covered under warranty.
