Description
ESAB 7018-1 Prime is a premium low-hydrogen electrode engineered for reliable, high quality welding performance. It offers a high deposition rate with exceptionally low moisture absorption, helping ensure more reliable, strong, consistent welds. The 7018-1 Prime provides excellent weld pool control, a smooth arc start, minimal spatter, and easy slag removal. With this, it makes it comfortable and efficient to use in all positions, including out of position welding. Designed for high strength, low-alloy steels, while still delivering outstanding low temperature impact toughness, making it a reliable solution for the most demanding applications.
The prevention of hydrogen induced cracking in thick structural steels often requires expensive climate controlled storage and strict handling requirements of low hydrogen electrodes in demanding environments like offshore fabrication. ESAB 7018-1 Prime electrodes remove this burden entirely. Packed in an exclusive VacPac™ vacuum sealed package eliminates moisture re-absorption concern, and simplify compliance, delivering reliable performance without the added expense of storage or administration.
