The Miller Multimatic 220 is a very versatile machine. That means there are a lot of accessories you can get to add onto the machines capabilities. Keep reading below to learn about all of the options and which ones you may need.
To start, there are two options to choose from when purchasing the 220. There is the base Multimatic 220 (907757) and then the Multimatic 220 Cart Bundle. If you plan on keeping your 220 in a shop or garage and not moving it around too much, the base model will be ideal. If you plan to move around with the machine or need to be mobile for any reason, the cart package will be your best option. Not only does it allow you to move the machine easily, but it also has a dual tank rack on the back for your pure Argon and your 75/25 mix tanks.
Once you have decided on which 220 to get you can decide on smaller accessories like the optional cover. It is not a necessity but it can keep particulates out of your machine and keep it looking nice. We also recommend getting our MIG consumable kit, it is everything you need for a discounted price. The Multimatic 220 comes with a wired foot pedal out of the box but you can upgrade to a wireless foot pedal. This removes the trip hazard of the wired pedal and is also one less thing to get tangled in or have to wrap up.
The last accessory to consider when getting the Multimatic 220 would be the spool gun options. You can get either a Spoolmate 100 or Spoolmate 150. The Spoolmate 150 has a better duty cycle than the 100 and also has the ability to do 4000 and 5000 series wires. The Spoolmate 100 can only do 4000 series wires. Either way a spool gun will make it easier to get larger aluminum projects done quickly.
