Furick TIG consumable starter kits are comprehensive sets that include all the essential items needed for TIG welding. These kits are designed to provide you with a range of consumables that ensure you’re prepared for various welding tasks right out of the box. Including a range of items like cups, collets, gas lenses, and installment tools. The convenience of having these components in one package means you spend less time shopping around and more time perfecting your welds. These starter kits let you test out all the Furick cups so you can get to know what cups you enjoy the most.

Furick 3 Series Starter Kits

Although both the 2 and 3 series come with all the same cups they do have some differences.

The Furick 3 Series starter kits are tailored to work with any 17, 18 or 26 style torches. Here are some features and inclusions you might find in a 3 Series kit:

  1. TIG Torches: These are designed to work with torches that take 3 series consumables. For example the CK17 or the TL26. There are also available in other variations and brands.

  2. Gas Lenses: 3 Series kits come with high-quality gas lenses that ensure consistent gas flow and reduce turbulence. These gas lenses are specific to 3 series torches only, for example the Furick 3 series 3/32" gas lens 33217GL

  3. Collets and Collet Bodies: 3 series kits include different collets and collet bodies than series 2. For the example the stubby collets 17CB20. The collets are the Furick wedge collets COLXXX17W.

  4. Tungsten Electrodes: A variety of tungsten electrode sizes will work with this kit, 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8"

Furick 2 Series Starter Kits

In contrast, the Furick 2 Series starter kits are designed to work on 9 and 20 style torches and include all the same cups just different gas lenses, collets and collet bodies. These kits are ideal for welders who need to work on detailed projects in smaller areas as these torches are a bit smaller. Key features of the 2 Series kits include:

  1. TIG Torches: The 2 Series kits are designed to work with 9 and 20 style torches. For example the CK9 or the CK20. You can also get these in different variations and brands.

  2. Compact Gas Lenses: Although a smidge smaller, the gas lenses in the 2 Series kits still provide excellent gas flow and coverage. Furick simply uses CK worldwide 2 series gas lenses. CKW2GL20

  3. Appropriate Collets and Collet Bodies: The collets and collet bodies in these kits are specifically designed to fit 2 series torches like the 9 and 20s. Similar to the gas lenses Furick also uses CK for the collets and CK for the collet bodies

  4. Tungsten Electrodes: Similar to the 3 Series, these kits work with a range of tungsten sizes. 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8"

Choosing the Right Kit

Selecting the right Furick starter kit depends on the specific TIG torch you have. Here are some pointers to help you decide:

For any 17/18/26 style torches you would need the 3 series starter kit or any 3 series consumables. While 9/20 style torches would require the 2 series starter kit
