About the Brand

It all started with involvement in the fabrication industry at an early age. Michael Furick had a big interest in motorcycles and building his own bike. He had the opportunity to get involved with a professional drag race team as a fabricator, and this was the beginning of a long successful path to designing products to make welding easier.

Michael Furick's passion for the product and industry is very apparent as he tests his cups extensively before offering them to the world. As a welder and fabricator he knows what is important in a quality cup. If you follow Michael on Instagram you will see that he manufactures these cups in-house with the whole family involved, it does not get any better than that!

Getting Started

The first thing you need to confirm is the series of your TIG torch. Below is a breakdown of the most popular.

Series 2 - Includes 9, 20, 100, 110, 130, 200, 230 and other popular Weldcraft, Lincoln Electric, CK Worldwide, Profax or WeldTec torches.

Series 3 - Includes 17, 18, 26, 150, 210, 300, 510 and other popular Weldcraft, Lincoln Electric, CK Worldwide, Profax or WeldTec torches.

If you have a Series 3 TIG torch (most commonly a 17, 18 or 26) you will need the Furick 17 Torch Adapter Kit. If you have a Series 2 TIG Torch (most commonly a 9 or 20) you will need a quality brand-name 45V44 gas lens to use Furick's cups.

If you are still not sure what style torch you have, send us a message and we can help to confirm before you place your order.

All of Furick's cups come set up for 3/32" Tungsten out of the box, so if you need to run a different sized tungsten (1/16" or 1/8"), you will need to purchase an additional set of gas diffuser screens. These come in sets of 2 or 3 and can be installed in your cup easily with one of his "Screen Install Tools".

Why Furick

Outside of the fact that this product is made in the USA and engineered by a true fabricator, the product line is innovative. The most popular and requested items has to be he Fupa #12 Glass Cup Kit. This kit includes two glass cups and a spare diffuser screen. It is ideal for mild steel, stainless steel, chromoly, titanium and other space grade alloys... pretty much all DC TIG applications.

If you need a cup for AC and DC applications, you will need to go with the Ally5 or the 8 PRO series. Both are available for Series 2 and 3 torches and are very affordable.

Due to the nature of the glass "Walking the Cup" is not recommended.  If you are wanting to "Walk the Cup" we recommend Furick Ceramic Fupa #12 cup or any of Furick's ceramic line. While clear cups improve visibility while welding, due to the nature of the material they would break if you tried to "walk it". The ceramic cup will still give you great coverage, and you need not worry about the material withstanding the heat.

The cups available at BakersGas.com come in sizes #5, #8, #10, #12, #14, and the oversized BBW. The glass cup offerings will slide over your gas lens to be retained by an o-ring, and the ceramic cups will thread onto your gas lens or Furick adapter kit. The only glass cup to thread on is the updated BBW which has a brass chassis. We have got replacement parts like o-rings, spare diffusers, and even replacement glass for each of the sizes.

Furick even makes titanium cup covers to protect his TIG cups against accidental drops and bangs!
